Inward Migration and Border Security

To keep our growth safe and sustainable, we should support and build on the steps Government has already taken and combining it with better port checks and strict oversight and be sure our entry points are protected from misuse, and our border system remains welcoming, secure, and fair.

A growing Island needs a sensible strategy. Any population target, like expanding our resident workforce, must be rooted in real economic common sense and tied to an audit of our healthcare, local schools, utilities, and housing stock. Targeted inward migration remains crucial for filling key skill gaps in primary care and vital local industries, and we will always welcome the talented workers our Island needs to thrive. However, growth should work in harmony with our community, ensuring our public services and infrastructure can comfortably keep pace.
